Rep. Mike Lawler Stands Firm: Support for Israel is a Must

In a recent  “Bring them Home” rally in Rockland, New York, Representative Mike Lawler expressed deep gratitude for the support shown for both Israel and the United States of America. Lawler told of the historical significance of the relationship between the two nations, emphasizing their alliance. The congressman’s remarks reflected his commitment to maintaining strong ties with Israel, reinforcing its role as a vital ally in the Middle East.

Lawler began by recalling the momentous occasion when the United States, under President Harry Truman, recognized the newly founded state of Israel just 11 minutes after its establishment 75 years ago. He underscored the unique bond between the two nations, characterizing Israel not only as the closest ally in the Middle East but also as a steadfast friend.

Lawler then shared his recent  experience during a  delegation visit to Israel. Lawler, along with seven other members of Congress, embarked on a journey that took them from London to Tel Aviv.

Drawing parallels between the lead-up to World War II and the present challenges, Lawler emphasized the importance of learning from history. He urged a stance reminiscent of Winston Churchill’s, advocating for a commitment to victory at all costs

The congressman soon shifted focus to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, particularly addressing the actions of Hamas. Lawler condemned the terrorist organization for its attacks on civilians, vividly describing the raw footage of the terrorist attacks on October 7th. He argued that Hamas, as the governing body in Gaza for the past 15 years, had repeatedly violated ceasefire agreements, leading to tragic consequences.

Lawler emphatically declared that there could be no ceasefire with a terrorist organization like Hamas. He asserted that the group not only disregards the sanctity of life but also targets individuals based on their religious identity. The congressman went further, calling for the elimination of Hamas from the face of the Earth, citing the organization’s history of violating ceasefires and its role in the recent escalation of violence.

Rep. Mike Lawler’s  speech reflects a deep commitment to the longstanding alliance between the United States and Israel. By invoking historical parallels and emphasizing the gravity of the current situation, Lawler continues to push the need for unwavering support and decisive action against terrorist organizations like Hamas. The congressman’s call for the elimination of Hamas signals a strong stance on ensuring the security and well-being of Israel in the face of ongoing challenges.
