Texas AG Sues Pfizer Over Deception and Censorship

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) has filed a lawsuit against Pfizer Pharmaceuticals for both misrepresenting their COVID-19 vaccine efficacy and conspiring to censor public discourse relative to their new product.

Paxton alleges Pfizer engaged in false, deceptive, and misleading acts and practices when making unsupported claims regarding the company’s COVID-19 vaccine in violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

The Texas AG’s website holds:

“The pharmaceutical company’s widespread representation that its vaccine possessed 95% efficacy against infection was highly misleading. That metric represented a calculation of the so-called ‘relative risk reduction’ for vaccinated individuals in Pfizer’s initial, two-month clinical trial results. FDA publications indicate ‘relative risk reduction’ is a misleading statistic that ‘unduly influence[s]’ consumer choice. Pfizer was also put on notice at that time that vaccine protection could not accurately be predicted beyond two months. Nevertheless, Pfizer fostered a misleading impression that vaccine protection was durable and withheld from the public information that undermined its claims about the duration of protection. And, despite the fact that its clinical trial failed to measure whether the vaccine protects against transmission, Pfizer embarked on a campaign to intimidate the public into getting the vaccine as a necessary measure to protect their loved ones.”

AG Paxton holds that Pfizer’s product failed to live up to the company’s representations. He allegesCOVID-19 cases actually increased after widespread vaccine administration, and some areas then saw a greater percentage of deaths from COVID-19 among vaccinated.

A.G. Paxton alleges when the failure of Pfizer’s product became evident, the company then initiated an effort to silence truth-tellers.

The lawsuit notes: “How did Pfizer respond when it became apparent that its vaccine was failing and the viability of its cash cow was threatened? By intimidating those spreading the truth, and by conspiring to censor its critics. Pfizer labeled as ‘criminals’ those who spread facts about the vaccine. It accused them of spreading ‘misinformation.’ And it coerced social media platforms to silence prominent truth-tellers.”

AG Paxton said, “We are pursuing justice for the people of Texas, many of whom were coerced by tyrannical vaccine mandates to take a defective product sold by lies. The facts are clear. Pfizer did not tell the truth about their COVID-19 vaccines. Whereas the Biden Administration weaponized the pandemic to force illegal public health decrees on the public and enrich pharmaceutical companies, I will use every tool I have to protect our citizens who were misled and harmed by Pfizer’s actions.”

The lawsuit follows Attorney General Paxton’s investigation commencing May 01, 2023 into Pfizer and other vaccine manufacturers announced earlier this year.

At that time Paxton said:

“The development of the Covid-19 vaccine, and the representations made by and knowledge of Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson, are of profound interest to the public’s health and welfare. This investigation aims to discover the truth. This pandemic was a deeply challenging time for Americans. If any company illegally took advantage of consumers during this period or compromised people’s safety to increase their profits, they will be held responsible. If public health policy was developed on the basis of flawed or misleading research, the public must know. The catastrophic effects of the pandemic and subsequent interventions forced on our country and citizens deserve intense scrutiny, and we are pursuing any hint of wrongdoing to the fullest.”

Interestingly, on May 27, 2023, the Texas House of Representatives adopted 20 Articles of Impeachment against Texas Attorney General Warren Kenneth Paxton, Jr. But on Sep 16, 2023, the Texas Senate on acquitted Attorney General Ken Paxton of all 16 articles of impeachment remaining alleging corruption and bribery. Only two of 19 Texas Republican State Senators voted in favor of convicting Paxton for any of the articles which served as a stark contrast to the more than 70% of Texas Representative Republicans who voted to impeach the attorney general in May.

One has to wonder if Paxton will now investigate potential ties between those who voted to impeach him and Big Pharma given the sequence of events this year.

Last week Rep. Brad Wenstrup (R-Ohio) Chairman of the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic announced Dr. Anthony Fauci will appear before the 118th Congress for the first time for a two-day, transcribed interview on January 8, 2024 and January 9, 2024.

Also last week the House of Representatives of the Philippines voted in favor of a resolution to investigate the over 260,000 unexplained excess deaths of 2021 and 67,000 unexplained excess deaths of 2022. The population of the country is said to be around 118 million.

“The House Of Representatives Of The Philippines Votes To Investigate Unexplained Excess Deaths”

Just as Texas appears to be the first State to take action against Big Pharma over their response to the COVID-19 pandemic, it appears the Philippines could be the first country to do much the same, pending the findings of their investigation.
