Democrats responsible for assassination attempt against Trump

The shocking attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump during a campaign rally on Saturday in Pennsylvania is not so shocking.

Years of character assassination and toxic rhetoric against Trump has led to this moment – and it was completely predictable.

For years, Democrats and their ilk, many of whom served in the Obama administration and those who now serve in the Biden administration, spent every waking moment bashing Trump, characterizing him as a fascist, and warning that he is a danger to democracy and to the very future of the country.

When the Biden administration first took office, its members claimed “the adults are in the room.”

But they were certainly not the Democrats.

For the last 3 and a half years, we have heard nothing but complaints about Trump and every time the Biden administration is asked about a policy, it blames Trump.

The Democrats are such babies, many of them wouldn’t even say the words “Trump administration” but rather would say “the previous administration.”

How childish.

By branding Trump as a danger to America, the Biden administration and many Democrats have created a self-fulfilling prophecy by which they have incited the public to such an extent that an assassination attempt became inevitable.

And indeed, it happened. Trump was saved, but unfortunately, a bystander was killed.

What makes this tragedy even more compelling, is the allegation that the Biden administration and the Secret Service refused to add more agents to Trump’s security detail. A larger team and better security might have prevented this tragedy in the first place. There are certainly many questions as to how the shooter went undetected on a rooftop plainly visible from the stage.

Let’s not forget that no less than four U.S. presidents were assassinated – Abraham Lincoln, James Garfield, William McKinley, and John F. Kennedy – and quite a few others survived assassination attempts, including Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, and Ronald Reagan, among others.

The presidency is a sacred part of America and candidates for the White House must be kept safe – both from dangerous political rhetoric and from actual physical threat.

Those who have vilified Trump for years must now take responsibility and go on a public campaign spreading awareness and unity as well as a call to back down from hostility and hatred.

The Democrats, led by the Biden White House, must make every effort to publicly distance themselves from any calls for hate and violence, and instead go on the offensive against those who do so.

It is the leading party’s responsibility to lower the flames of tension, hatred, and violence in the country to ensure the continuation of the 2024 presidential election campaign cycle is conducted in a lawful and respectful manner.

There is no room for political violence in America.

America is the greatest democracy in the world, and while voices of dissent are part of America’s backbone, it can never be the cause for violence.

The terrible shots that rang out on Saturday may have only injured Trump, but they may have been the death knell of Biden’s political campaign.
