One of the signs you have socialists in leadership positions in America these days is when these race hustlers push for the payment of reparations to black Americans. Their intent is not to make right a past wrong but rather to divide and conquer (United We Stand, Divided We Fall). A secondary more sinister objective is to topple the American economy using the Cloward-Piven Strategy where takers outnumber makers.

We asked Google’s AI who should be paid reparations if this idea was to come to pass as law.

Some demographic groups are more likely to support reparations than others. For example, a Pew Research Center survey found that Hispanic and Asian American respondents were more likely to support reparations than White or Black respondents.”
Back in May of this year the California State Senate passed three reparations bills with the intent to begin correcting the harms of slavery and decades of anti-Black racism perpetuated by the state and local governments. The insanity of this scenario is California was not a US State until 1848, just barely before the Civil War (1861). It had been ruled by Mexico ruled before that date. It had no history of slavery, coming in as a free state. It had no slaves at any time as part of the US. It had no such thing as southern plantations growing crops that needed to be planted and harvested by slaves.
The Public Policy Institute of California reports:
“No race or ethnic group constitutes a majority of California’s population: 40% of Californians are Latino, 35% are white, 15% are Asian American or Pacific Islander, 5% are Black, 4% are multiracial, and fewer than 1% are Native American or Alaska Natives, according to the 2022 American Community Survey.”
So the progressive liberal socialist Democrats of California want this penance to be paid mostly by a Hispanic population of 40%, most of who live under the poverty level, to a minority of 5%, most of whom can prove no history of slavery anywhere in their family trees.
As the old expression goes, “You can’t make this stuff up!”
In this General Election year of 2024, this entire policy just blew up in California. The bill called for some African-Americans to get paid over a million dollars each which would lead to a bill for the State of California of some $800 billion dollars, more than the state’s annual budget.

The back story now is that Governor Gavin Newsom will not sign any of these bills if passed by the state House and Senate due to the fact California is already technically broke and there is simply no source of funding for these reparations. There is also the possibility that the State of California could be sued over the passage of any such bills because they would unfairly and unconstitutionally burden the taxpayers expected to pay these reparations.
In other words all the other races expected to pay for these reparations could rightfully say to the African-American population, “You were not a slave here 160 years ago just like my family was not even living here 160 years ago.”

As an interesting side note, I was born in Evanston, Illinois. It is probably best known for Northwestern University but to those of us who know and love history, it is known for some other interesting factoids as well. For example; Evanston was a “dry town” without alcohol practicing temperance and prohibition from 1858 until 1972. Evanston is the birthplace of Tinkertoys and is one location claiming to have originated the ice cream sundae.

CONCLUSION:
My family has zero guilt and zero intention of ever paying any reparations. Why? Because the Schwendau family did not come to America until after slavery had ended, LIKE MOST AMERICANS!
On top of that, another reason why this idea is truly insane is highlighted by this story of a lady friend I had years ago.
Some 25 years ago I was dating a woman who shared my interest in genealogy. She had been working for years to try to get the documentation that would make her a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (https://www.dar.org/). While we were dating she finally determined, by way of government archives, she did have a great-great-great-uncle that was a Revolutionary war soldier but he had been discharged from the Army for reasons unknown due to incomplete record keeping. This kept her out of DAR.
So this serves as an example of white people trying to record history because people cared about what was happening in 1776 to them. What records were kept prior to the Civil War relative to slavery and the slave trade? The correct answer is not many. Keep in mind, only 60% of Americans could read and write at the time of the Revolutionary War and 80% at the time of the Civil War.
And you Californians want to fork out a million dollars each to these supposed victims of slavery who will be able to offer little to no documentation as proof they are descendants of slaves?
What could go wrong? Are you out of your minds?!
This video of Kamala Harris exposes the fact she intended to run for president 5 years ago and she intends to pay black American reparations. This was her intention all along. This is socialism.
