Senator Bernie Sanders Demonizes Corporations for Fallout from Failed Democrat Policy

5Mind. The Meme Platform

Senator Bernie Sanders (D-VT), has chimed in on the cause of skyrocketing inflation Americans are suffering under the Biden-Harris administration and its impact on the cost of groceries across America. According to Sanders, the current runaway inflation is, “…because of corporate greed, record breaking profits on the part of food industry, other corporations charging us off the wall prices.”

As a presidential candidate in 2020, Sanders frequently hollered about corporate greed and promised to clamp down on Wall Street millionaires and billionaires. His opinion on the root cause of this crippling inflation is no surprise. Batty Bernie is failing to take into account a few other key factors. For example, the enormous government spending under this administration, a 29% increase in energy costs which businesses are forced to pass on to consumers, many small town grocers going out of business lowering competition, as well as an out of control illegal alien crisis increasing demand for food and lowering American wages. Any economist will tell you these conditions put upward pressure on prices. Many of the businesses he’s demonizing are struggling to survive.

Presidential candidate, Vice President Kamala Harris, has put forth a campaign pledge to take on what she calls “price gauging.” We know she means “price gouging,” but either way, the answer to her administration’s problem of increasing prices is not communist price controls. Her mere mention of this caused even Democrats to cringe. She cast the tie breaking vote on the Inflation Reduction Act, the catalyst of trillions in spending that only served to enhance the crisis. Someone needs to inform Kamala and the rest of the Democrat party that a free market economy has built-in price controls, it’s a radical concept called supply and demand. Americans don’t need Kamala Harris turning their entire country into San Francisco. What’s tried and true is good energy policy; less regulation and a secure border, which will lower prices on food and other commodities.

Harris has changed her position several times on these and other issues. Recently, Sanders said she’s just “being pragmatic” and essentially saying whatever she needs to say to be elected. He knows as well as Kamala what she’ll do if she’s voted into office. He admits she’ll return to the same failed Democrat policies that got Americans into this mess. After all, she said her values haven’t changed and when asked what she would do differently than President Joe Biden, she said, “Nothing comes to mind.”

Biden continues to falsely claim he inherited 9% inflation from the previous Trump administration. Even CNN fact-checked Biden and correctly reported the low 1.4% inflation we saw under President Donald Trump. A tax code favorable to business, smart energy policy and regulation trimming will correct the market. A secure border would help as well. Donald Trump did it before and he’ll do it again.
