Beto running for governor in 2022? Will this loser ever go away? Jumping Jack Flap is expected to make an announcement later this year.

Gosh I am sick of this guy. I cannot tell you how annoying Beto-mania was here in Texas back in 2018 when he was running for Senate. The uninformed liberals wearing shirts that said “Beto” and then the dreaded bumper stickers.

I will admit, I did get a little nervous at one point. He was gaining huge momentum and I don’t think Ted Cruz took the threat seriously until the final 3 months of the 2018 election cycle.

Not to mention the huge fundraising advantage he had over Cruz. About $70 million to $40 million.

In the end, it wasn’t enough as Cruz went on to win re-election in a close race with over 4.2 million votes to Robert’s (Beto) 4 million.

Robert keeps shooting for the stars

Beto re-emerged onto the scene in the next major election cycle and threw his hat into the presidential race. After all, he was born to be in it.

The failed Senate candidate dropped out as he was polling at just 2 percent in the Democratic primary polls. This guy’s bid was finished after his “hell yes we’re gonna take your AR-15” comment.

Imagine if Dems cheated to get this guy into office instead of Biden. Would we be worse off? That’s tough to say but I am glad we won’t ever know.

Take a look at this video as he was grilled by a young man to prove Trump is a racist.

That was tough to watch. That also makes me feel pretty good going into 2022 if Beto running for governor becomes a reality.

Beto running for governor will make this his 3rd loss

Here is a piece of an article from the Washington Examiner on a potential run for governor:

O’Rourke’s vulnerabilities are far more apparent and far less likely to go away. Thousands of migrants are crossing into Texas as the Biden administration continues to encourage them to arrive, thanks to a lack of enforcement. In Texas, Biden’s handling of the border is underwater by an astonishing 52%-29%. Abbott’s handling of the border is at 47% approval, with just 35% disapproving.

And then, of course, there is O’Rourke’s hard left turn during his presidential run. “Hell yeah, we’re going to take your AR-15” is not exactly a great selling point in the Lone Star State. It’s also worth noting that Abbott has tried very hard to make inroads into South Texas’s Latino communities. Given Trump’s gains there, he may have a chance to cash in on his efforts.

Maybe O’Rourke can make it competitive. He is, after all, a sponge that absorbs money from Democratic donors desperately hoping to turn Texas blue. The media will likely pretend once again that O’Rourke is a Kennedy-esque political talent rather than the mediocrity he is. But despite all the Democratic prophesying about demographic trends, Texas is still a red state.

The 2022 election cycle will not be a “blue wave” in reaction to former President Donald Trump, as 2018 was. Both nationally and in Texas, it will be a referendum on Biden’s failures. Biden and the national environment will be an anchor on O’Rourke’s chances, as will O’Rourke’s leftward turn. Establishment media will try to push O’Rourke to victory, but unless something drastic happens, he’s simply going to burn the money of Democratic donors on his way to a third straight election loss.

Well said. We are still a red state despite the “This is the year Texas goes blue!” every election cycle. I explain here why we will continue to be a red state. Yes I am aware of the immigration crisis and what appears to be an attempt to turn us blue in the future. But I am optimistic we will win the war at the border and this will be short lived.

Whether or not Robert decides to run, I will still be suiting up to go to war for this great state just as I do every election cycle.

I will likely support Allen West in the primaries but no matter who comes out on top as the GOP candidate, all freedom loving Texans need to do their part. We did a great job in 2020 in mobilizing to keep Texas red, let’s not let our guard down.
