Whatโs the difference in children stuffing cash in a drag queen bra and a strippers bra?
Nothing.
Itโs wrong and itโs indoctrination. https://t.co/C9bJVZ5T2z

In Texas, a lawmaker introduced a bill in June at the state level to ban drag shows in front of children. It happened days after a Texas bar held an event called โDrag the kids to Pride: A Family Friendly Drag Show,โ which drew protests.
โThe events of this past weekend were hogging and show a disturbing need in which perverted adults are obsessed with sexualizing young children,โ Republican Rep. Bryan Slaton said in a statement. โAs a father of children, I would never take my children to a drag show and I know Speaker Dade Phelan and the rest of my Republican colleagues wouldnโt either.โ
He added: โProtecting our own children isnโt enough, and our responsibility as lawmakers extends to the sexualization that is happening across Texas,โ according to the statement.
And in Florida, Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis this week threatened to deploy state child protective services on parents who take their kids to drag queen shows, noting that โwe have child protective statutes on the booksโ and that there are โlaws against child endangerment.โ That statement was made in response to viral videos from the Texas event.
โIt used to be kids would be off-limits โฆ used to be [that] everybody agreed with that. Now it just seems like thereโs a concerted effort to be exposing kids more and more to things that are not age-appropriate,โ the governor remarked.
GOP lawmakers in Arizona on Tuesday said they are working on a bill to ban drag shows in front of children as well, with Republican state Sen. Vince Leach arguing that exposing children to drag queens will likely have a deleterious effect on the next generation.
โIn a civil society, you donโt bring your children up like that,โ Leach said, according to local media.
While Republicans have been considering the ban for some time, Leach said that a drag show with children at the Heard Museum earlier this month prompted lawmakers to act. Details about their bill havenโt been provided as Leach said it is a โwork in progress.โ
