The “Back the Blue” rally took place today to support the Fairfax City and Fairfax County Police!

To show support for our hometown heroes in blue, Fairfax citizens have organized a “Back the Blue” rally to demonstrate appreciation for the Fairfax City and Fairfax County Police.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, July 22 at 6:30 PM at Old Town Square in Fairfax City. There will be a short program starting at 7:00 PM.

This event is the result of local citizens in the community disappointed with lack of support provided to our family members, neighbors and coaches who go to work at the City of Fairfax Police, Fairfax County Police, Virginia State Police or any of the number of federal law enforcement agencies in Northern Virginia.

Our message is simple: we appreciate the work being done by the police every day protecting our families and our businesses, ensuring safety to allow our community to prosper. Our event is a family event, welcoming the families of citizens, and those of police officers from local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies together to show our appreciation for the service to our community and recognize them for the security afforded us by their sacrifice and courage.

Back the Blue Fairfax is a grassroots movement in support of our region’s law enforcement professionals. For more information, contact backthebluefairfax@gmail.com
