Border Czar, DHS Secretary Suggest FBI Is Leaking Information About ICE Raids

โ€˜Some of the information we are receiving tends to lead toward the FBI,โ€™ Tom Homan said this week.

Tom Homan, the Trump administrationโ€™s border czar, and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem have suggested that recent leaks about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids across the United States are being leaked by the FBI.

Homan said the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which oversees ICE, are investigating the alleged leaks to the media. During an interview with Fox News on Monday evening, he said authorities believe they are โ€œcoming from insideโ€ the FBI.

โ€œSome of the information we are receiving tends to lead toward the FBI,โ€ he told Fox News host Sean Hannity.

Homan said Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove told him that he โ€œpromised not only will this person lose their job and pension but they will go to jail,โ€œ adding that the leaks about ICE raids targeting Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua are โ€giving the bad guys a heads-up so they can escape apprehension.โ€

โ€œItโ€™s only a matter of time before we walk into a place where thereโ€™s going to be a bad guy who doesnโ€™t care. Heโ€™s going to be sitting and waiting for the officers to show up and ambush them. This is not a game,โ€œ he said, adding that ICE officersโ€™ โ€lives areโ€œ being put โ€at riskโ€ due to the leaks.

Earlier in the week, Noem posted a Los Angeles Times article on social media platform X and then suggested that the FBI was leaking information to the media.

โ€œWe will work with any and every agency to stop leaks and prosecute these crooked deep state agents to the fullest extent of the law,โ€ she wrote.

The article she referenced from the Los Angeles Times cited an alleged internal document and reported that ICE would partake in a major deportation operation targeting illegal immigrants in Los Angeles. Weeks before that, media outlets had reported that ICE would target Chicago, which was referenced by Homan in an interview last month with The Washington Post.

Homan did not provide any more information about the leaks or why he and other officials believe they are coming from the FBI.
