There are some things in life that are just too funny. People trying to do battle with President Donald Trump and almost immediately having it to come back to bite them in the backside would be one of those.
Take for example the Canadian comedian who suggested taking down the pornographic website Pornhub in America as retribution for the upcoming new April tariffs. The idea comes from Canadian funnyman Matthew Puzhitsky, who posted a now-viral Instagram video suggesting this retaliation — calling it Canada’s “nuclear weapon.”
The New York Post reported over the weekend:
“Canada has ‘nuclear weapon’ in trade war — ban Pornhub in US” – The New York Post
But while Pornhub is currently the undisputed “Burger King” in the porn industry with 130 million website visitors per day, it has not achieved this rank without problems.

But what is most interesting is how podcaster Dave Rubin just a week ago featured Laila Mickelwait on one of his shows to discuss her findings relative to Pornhub. Mickelwait has been researching and combating the injustice of sex trafficking since 2006 and is a leading expert in the field. Her website is https://lailamickelwait.com.
Some of her most shocking news was she found Pornhub had featured women being raped and men engaging in sex acts with child minors.
“How One Woman Outsmarted Pornhub & Exposed Its Dark Secrets | Laila Mickelwait” – The Rubin Report
Mickelwait is the author of the National best-selling book “Takedown: Inside the fight to shut down Pornhub for Child Abuse, Rape, and Sex Trafficking”.
It looks like the joke could wind up being on Canada in the end as there are people looking to shut the website down once and for all. Considering Pornhub has an estimated value of $1.5 billion and $500 million annually, this could be “pain at the rumps for Canucks” if America shuts it down.
There you go Canadian funnyman Matthew Puzhitsky, the joke is on you.
CONCLUSION:
So while there is nothing funny or humorous about pedophilia, rape, or sex trafficking, this joke/threat by Canada coming on the heels of this particular Rubin Report featuring Mickelwait is beyond irony and hilariousness!
To the younger generations Pornhub is widely accepted to the point some couples submit their own “homemade amateur porn” to earn online money. Sometimes they blur out or mask their faces and sometimes they don’t. The younger generations can be seen wearing Pornhub merchandise out in public featuring the company logo. They slyly will refer to the company as “Ph” around their family to disguise their conversations, “How much money did we get from Ph this month?”
Perhaps now, between the funny folks of Canada and Dave Rubin with Laila Mickelwait, this issue of Canadian pornography will be brought to a head.
It is a historical observation that acceptance of sexual promiscuity and deviancy is the first stage of the downfall of a society. Ours may have begun with “Playboy Magazine” in December of 1953. That is seemingly what got this ball rolling when the First Amendment was used to reveal nudity with all forms of sex acts as free speech and expression thereafter.

While nudity can be seen and viewed as art, we, as a modern society, have gone way past that by now.
