Elon Musk gave his short report in a White House Trump Administration Cabinet meeting yesterday and once again dropped yet another bombshell on the Cabinet and American public. This time it was relative to new findings of his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) audit team relative to unemployment insurance fraud. Like many of his previous findings, this one left people stunned by the shear audacity and brazenness of what appears to be organized criminal theft on a scale previously unseen before.
It was noteworthy when Musk got the entire cabinet laughing when he said:
“People ask me like, ‘Well how are you going to find waste and fraud in the in the federal government?’ I’m like, ‘Well actually just go in any direction, that’s how you find it.’ Um it’s just, it’s very common. It’s, it’s, as the military would say, ‘A target rich environment.’”
What Musk revealed yesterday after a DOGE initial survey of unemployment insurance claims since 2020 was as follows:
- 25.4K people over 115 years old claimed $59M in benefits
- 28K people between 1 and 5 years old claimed $254M in benefits
- 9.1K people with birthdates over 15 years into the future claimed $69M in benefits
On the DOGE website they noted their finding of unemployment insurance fraud a little more specifically down to states as follows:
“California, New York, and Massachusetts accounted for most of these improper claims, totaling $305M in unemployment benefits.
Additionally, California accounted for 68% of the unemployment benefits paid to parolees identified by CBP on the terrorist watchlist or with criminal records.”
This is a new and developing story so not much other information is available as of now.
CONCLUSION:
There are only two observations I have to make in concluding this unbelievable story.
First, it is absolutely stunning that America’s mainstream media did not run with this as a lead story begging DOGE and Musk for further information to give them for a 5 to 10 minutes news segment in broadcast news.
You know, kind of like Sky News Australia did here:
“‘Absolutely insane’: DOGE discovers millions wasted on ‘fake people’” – Sky News Australia
I have been boycotting the mainstream (fake) news media after being a long-tine early young consumer at age 9 when President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. The legacy news media of America is no longer relevant, honest, unbiased, and worth wasting my time. They should not be just boycotted, they should be sued in a class action lawsuit for malpractice in journalism.
The first way Americans know they have a problem is the news sources all follow the same mockingbird media script. If they were still independent and competitive as they were years ago, the news would vary at least a little bit by outlet source.
Second, it is absolutely unbelievable that some people in the comments section of social media platforms are trying to discredit DOGE with some of the most asinine comments you will ever read. It makes one wonder if…
- Are they really that stupid?
- Are they really such political partisans?
- Are they paid performers of political “Dark Money”?
I seldom interact with these people but I had to last night to one comment that went something like this.
Commenter: “Musk is a liar full of sh*t. You can’t draw unemployment unless you show up to the local unemployment office in person.”
My Response: “Oh, you mean like you have to have photo ID and be properly registered to vote to cast thousands of fake ballots in elections remotely?”
The most stunning thing Musk offered was a made-up fake person not even born yet with a birthdate 129 years in the future. You can bet there will be a made-up Social Security number for this fake person of the future as well. You can bet that number has since been left unused since the direct deposit(s) made by State unemployment office. You can bet that bank account has since been closed or emptied out and left inactive.
Are you starting to see the massiveness of the fraud DOGE is finding? It goes across governmental agencies!
Finally, people have been suspicious of both DOGE director Elon Musk and Attorney General Pam Bondi because they are not seeing arrests and prosecutions forthcoming from the DOGE findings. I have had a standard answer “It could take months just for the FBI to track down all those involved in the DOGE leads and years to prosecute all of them.”
I was responding off the top of my head at the time but in my next piece I will offer an illustrative example that supports my timespan guestimate.
