Dr. Phil Interviews President Trump and the MSM Melts Down

5Mind. The Meme Platform

Celebrity psychologist Dr. Phil McGraw did a sit down interview with former President Donald Trump on one of his shows this week and that show is going viral across the web. It is also attracting the ire of the regulars of the mainstream media.

Dr. Phil left CBS Media Ventures after 21 seasons on air with his final episode airing May 25, 2023. Dr. Phil became a talk show created by Oprah Winfrey with host Dr. Phil McGraw. After several of McGraw’s segments on “The Oprah Winfrey Show”, “Dr. Phil” became a spinoff debuting on September 16, 2002.

The public statement from both sides was Dr. Phil was leaving CBS to pursue other ventures. That new venture is his own production company Merit Street Media. His new venture is said to be in partnership with the Christian outlet Trinity Broadcasting Network.

From the start of the recorded interview with former President Trump at Mar-a-Lago Dr. Phil McGraw said that he does not endorse candidates and would hope to sit down and interview Joe Biden and Robert Kennedy Jr. as well.

At the onset of the interview President Trump he said, “It’s such an honor to have someone like you see it, and see it so clearly.”

Dr. Phil called on Joe Biden and the Democrats to stop the false persecution of President Trump in lawfare and noted how so many of the feeble attempts are now falling apart under their own weight.

President Trump reverted to some of his standard talking points starting with the dangers of the Biden open borders and how some foreign countries are emptying their prisons and insane asylums for their criminals and mentally ill with the condition they leave their countries to come to America.

Dr. Phil and President Trump did a review recap of the lawfare the Democrats have engaged in against President Trump which was very interesting. At one point Dr. Phil interjected a recent Wall Street Journal editorial by Gerard Baker. Dr. Phil paraphrased Baker saying, “What do we say to those people that are rejoicing over reducing law to the status of a weapon in the hands of the dominant political power?”

President Trump said he had also read that piece in the Wall Street Journal and thought it was a good statement as well.

At one point the topic of revenge came up. Trump told Dr. Phil, “Revenge does take time. I will say that. And sometimes revenge can be justified, I have to be honest.” Dr. Phil seemingly pressed Trump he should “stop this vicious cycle of gotcha”. Trump responded, “We have to unite the country.” He then noted “there are people who did some bad things. I know who they are.” Trump took credit for not having Hillary Clinton arrested after the 2016 election, and noted he often tried to quiet his supporters as they chanted “LOCK HER UP!” at his rallies. While some say this is misinformation, a simple fact check of all of his rally videos does show him trying to turn the crowd from the negatives to the positives which could be how he developed his MAGA theme.

That said, Dr. Phil later told CNN’s Abby Phillip that he didn’t think Trump would follow through on his vows of retribution but her interview went off the rails rapidly as she tried to lead Dr. Phil and he was having none of it.

Dr. Phil called for Biden to stop the Trump prosecutions but Phillip countered that would be Biden engaging in the same kind of interference that Republicans always accuse the Democrats about and is not even legal relative to state cases.

“That is not the case in terms of strict law, but I think if anybody believes that parties on either side can’t get together and get something done, if they want it done, I think is very naive,” Dr. Phil told Phillip.

Phillip responded, “If Biden weighed in to make that prosecution happen, you would consider that a scandal. If he weighed in to make it not happen, why would that not be a scandal?”

“I’m not saying it wouldn’t be a scandal, but I am saying that if you really think that party politics don’t cross state lines, federal versus state lines, that there aren’t meetings that talk about this and people make decisions about what is best for the party, and sometimes that works for the good of the people,” Dr. Phil said. “Sometimes maybe it doesn’t. If you think that there aren’t politics that does into some of these decisions, I think that would be a naive position.”

Dr. Phil said what he wants to stop is this attitude of “You came after me, so now I am coming after you,” and how America and Americans pay for that political gamesmanship.

CONCLUSION:

The American public has been so badly gas lit and lied to by the mainstream media they have become aware of this ongoing deception and have a hunger for the truth. This upsets some of the bad actors of the mainstream media who have transitioned from journalists to propagandists supporting a narrative. Take for example ABC’s George Stephanopoulos (currently being sued by President Donald Trump) in this recent social media post.

@GStephanopoulos says “I think it’s journalistic malpractice to do a live interview with President Trump on television.”

No, George, journalist malpractice is when you only tell one side of a two-sided story!

I have always liked and respected Dr. Phil. He is the kind of person who makes me think and I love that. His conversation with former President Trump got me to thinking about the timeline of the alleged lawfare the Democrats where they would have left a paper trail, if President Trump is telling the truth in this matter. It turns out, once again, President Trump is right. See the enclosed chart I developed to satisfy my own curiosity.
