California Gov. Gavin Newsom visited the White House on Wednesday while President Joe Biden arrived in Israel.

Newsom is seen by some to be a possible candidate to replace Biden in the 2024 presidential election. A poll released Monday found that 64 percent of Democratic voters would prefer a new candidate in 2024, with many listing Biden’s age, 79, as their reason for wanting someone else.
