On November 5, 2019 there was an incredible train track rescue when a man fell and was pulled from train tracks with seconds to spare. This video shows just how close the train got to an intoxicated man who stumbled onto the BART tracks at Coliseum station. John O’Connor, a train operator for 20 years and now a transportation supervisor, rescued the man from the train tracks with not a second to spare. The incident took place at around 5:20 pm after the NFL’s Oakland Raiders victory.
O’Connor says, “Life is precious. Fortunately God put me there and he got to see another day and when I spoke to him later, I tol him, hey, pay it forward.”
