CNN News did a tally of supposed lies during the debate and logged Kamala Harris with 1 and Donald Trump with 33. That report and graphic in and of itself is a CNN lie. Here are almost 50 hard truths for those thinking of voting for Kamala Harris.
Kamala Harris Debate Lies
1. “I was raised as a middle class kid…”
Journalist Megyn Kelly previously noted, Harris’ father was a professor at Stanford University, while her mother was a biomedical scientist at UC Berkley.
2. “I have a plan to build what I call an opportunity economy.”
Nobody has seen her plan yet in writing but some of it is said to be giving family tax cut of $6,000 and a small business $50,000 tax deduction to startups.
3. “My opponent, on the other hand, his plan is to do what he has done before which is to provide a tax cut for billionaires and big corporations which will result in 5 trillion dollars to America’s deficit.”
Data produced by the IRS has shown “on average all income brackets benefited substantially from the Republicans’ tax reform law, with the biggest beneficiaries being working and middle-income filers, not the top 1 percent,” according to Justin Haskins, writing in The Hill.
4. “My opponent has a plan I call the Trump sales tax which would be a 20% tax on every day goods you rely on…”
Trump accused her of making this up as he has no such plan.
5. “Donald Trump left us the worst unemployment since the Great Depression.”
25% of Americans were out of jobs during the Depression. During the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic the unemployment rate surged to around 14.8% but was already down to 6.4% by January of the following year.
6. “Donald Trump left us the worst public health epidemic in a century.”
Nobody would say the Pandemic was President Trump’s fault but many are now taking a critical look at Democrat doctors Tony Fauci and Deb Birx who led the country’s pandemic response.
7. “Donald Trump left us the worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War.”
Harris apparently forgot the day after the debate was 9/11 which was the worst attack on our nation since Pearl Harbor with over 3,000 dead. One person died on January 6th of 2021, Ashli Babbitt.
8. “What you are going to hear tonight is the details of a dangerous plan, Project 2025, that the former president intends on implementing if he were elected again.”
President Trump has said multiple times he doesn’t even know what is in this document put out by the Heritage Foundation as he has his own platform titled “Agenda 47”.
9. “Well, let’s be clear that the Trump administration resulted in a trade deficit, one of the highest we have ever seen in America.”
It has actually grown larger each of the subsequent years of the Biden-Harris administration now.
10. “Under Donald Trump’s presidency he ended up selling American chips to China to help them improve and modernize their military, basically sold us out.”
America has not made its own microchips in years. China buys its chips from Taiwan, like everyone else.
11. “He actually thanked President Xi for what he did during COVID. Look at his Tweet. ‘Thank you President Xi!’”
Trump commended China for its “efforts and transparency” in containing the virus on Jan. 25, 2020. He later changed his position when he found out the virus may have intentionally been let out of the Wuhan lab and China concealed efforts at containing the virus there.
ABORTION LIE by ABC’S Linsey Davis
Trump claimed babies were “killed” outside the womb in failed abortions and that under vice presidential candidate Tim Walz, babies born alive in botched abortions were allowed left to die.
At this point ABC moderator Linsey Davis wrongfully interjected herself into the debate with a false fact check of President Trump saying, “There is no state in this country where it is legal to kill a baby after it’s born.”
FACT CHECK-CHECK FOR ABC News:
Eight babies who survived abortions in Minnesota were abandoned and perished under Governor Tim Walz.
“Tim Walz Removed Requirement to Try to Save Babies Born Alive After Abortion” – The National Catholic Register
12. “But understand, if Donald Trump were to be re-elected, he will sign a National Abortion Ban. Understand in his Project 2025 there would be a National Abortion… a monitor that would be monitoring your pregnancies, your miscarriages.”
Harris again, interjected Project 2025 plan as being associated with Donald Trump when he had already dismissed this prior. Trump has no such desire to have a National Abortion Ban and actually publically called her out as a liar on this point.
13. “Couples who pray and dream of having a family are being denied IVF treatment.”
Former President Donald Trump responded, “I have been a leader on IVF, which is fertilization,” Trump said.
14. “You know what happened to that (immigration) bill? Donald Trump got on the phone, called some folks in Congress and said ‘kill the bill’ and you know why? Because he preferred to run on the problem instead of fixing the problem.”
“Trump Didn’t Kill the Senate Border Security Deal — the Deal’s Provisions Did” – Center for Immigration Studies
(https://cis.org/Jacobs/Trump-Didnt-Kill-Senate-Border-Security-Deal-Deals-Provisions-Did)
15. “And what you will also notice is people will start leaving his rallies out of exhaustion or boredom.”
A questionable baseless claim without supporting evidence.
16. “I will tell you the one thing you will not hear him talk about is you. You will not hear him talk about your needs, your dreams, and your desires.”
It is a well-known fact that Donald Trump’s net worth has gone down over the course of the last 8 years since assuming the presidency (some say from a high of $7 billion to $3.5 billion now). On the other hand Forbes estimates, Kamala Harris’ value has increased $6 million in 2019 to $8 million as of 2024. The math never lies. Trump lives selflessly while Harris lives selfishly.
PETS NOT BEING EATEN LIE by ABC’S David Muir
Trump claimed illegal aliens were stealing people’s pets in Springfield, Ohio, and eating them.
At this point ABC moderator David Muir wrongfully interjected himself into the debate with a false fact check of President Trump saying, “I just want to clarify here, you bring up Springfield, Ohio, and ABC News did reach out to the City Manager there and he told us there had been no credible reports or specific claims of pets being harmed injured or abused by individuals within the immigrant community.”
FACT CHECK-CHECK FOR ABC News:
Backfired: David Muir attempted to fact check the Haitian eating pets in Ohio story. He lied.

17. “I think this is so rich coming from someone who has been prosecuted for national security crimes, economic crimes, election interference, has been found liable for sexual assault, and his next big court appearance is in November for his own criminal sentencing.”
(You could tell somebody was talking in her earpiece at this point by the pace of her speech.)
Kamala Harris, and her people, should have avoided this lawfare soundbite since the following just came out a week ago but she and her people are never thought to be the sharpest tools in the shed.
“DOJ Chief Admits Trump Indictments a Politically Motivated ‘Perversion of Justice’” – Steven Crowder
Trump has accused the Democrats of the weaponization of the Justice Department in a system of lawfare.
18. “Understand this is someone who has openly said he would ‘terminate’, I am quoting ‘terminate’ the Constitution of the United States.”
Trump was referencing what should have happened after the 2020 election. Trump wrote after the election where vice president Mike Pence did not turn the election results back to the 6 swing states where fraud occurred as he should have, “A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution. Our great ‘Founders’ did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!”
19. “He (Trump) would weaponize the Department of Justice against his political enemies.”
Trump’s own response debunked this in a pretty epic way. “This is the one (pointing at Harris) that weaponized, not me, she weaponized. I probably took a bullet to the head because of the things they say about me. They talk about ‘democracy’, that I am a threat to democracy. They’re the threat to democracy.”
20. “Someone (Trump) who has openly expressed disdain for members of our military.”
This story has repeatedly been debunked as recently as the Trump-Biden debate and yet Harris went back there even though she claims she never wants us to go backward but “forward”.
21. “I made that clear in 2020, I will not ban fracking. I have not banned fracking as vice president of the United States.”
The problem is she said she would ban fracking in 2019 and this brings up the question; Can she be trusted to keep her words of the campaign after Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) basically outed her as saying whatever it takes to get herself elected on NBC’s “Meet the Press”.
22. “Not everybody got handed $400 million dollars on a silver platter and then filed bankruptcy six times.”
In 1976 Donald Trump was given one million dollars by his father, Fred Trump, as a loan. Trump has filed bankruptcy for his companies six times, three casinos a Manhattan hotel, and two casino holding companies into bankruptcy during the recession of the 1990’s. These were a very small fraction of his entire holdings.
23. “My values are about lifting people up and not beating people down, and name calling.”
Lawfare is about bearing false witness against one’s neighbor and is the ultimate in beating that neighbor down. Harris proved to live by this example during the debate.
Lawfare is about bearing false witness against one’s neighbor and is the ultimate in beating that neighbor down. Harris proved not to live by this example during the debate.
24. “On that day (January 6, 2021) the President of the United States incited a violent mob to attack our nation’s Capitol.”
There are now two well-known videos which prove this to be a lie. The first is President Trump’s speech where he uses the phrase to go down to the Capitol, “peacefully and patriotically” and the other is of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi admitting the events of that day were her fault (she refused President Trump’s offer of 10,000 National Guardsmen prior). There is also this:
“Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey calls Capitol riot a ‘hoax from day one’” – WXYZ TV
25. “On that day 140 law enforcement officers were injured, and some died.”
While it is not easy to determine how many law enforcement officers or protesters were injured, no law enforcement officers died that day but one protester did, Air Force Veteran Ashli Babbitt.
26. “Let’s remember Charlottesville where there was a mob of people… and what did the President then at the time say? ‘There were fine people on each side.’”
Trump pointed out that this story has been repeatedly debunked by journalists like Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity, and Jesse Watters.
27. “Donald Trump was fired by 81 million people.”
All the math indicates the 2020 General Election was stolen:
Trump 74 Million Votes | Biden 81 Million Votes | Registered Voters 133 Million |
Counties Won 2,497 | Counties Won 477
Bellwhether Won 18 of 19 | Bellwhether Won 1 of 19
Won OH, FL, IA | Lost OH, FL, IA
Won House Seats | Lost House Seats |
28. “World leaders are laughing at Donald Trump.”
The most recent one to be laughing has been Russian President Vladimir Putin who was actually laughing at Kamala Harris as he endorsed her saying she had “an infectious laugh”.
29. “And court cases you have lost because you did in fact lose that election.”
Trump lost no court cases as none of them have been heard in a court of law.
30. “It leads one to believe that perhaps we do not have in the candidate to my right (Trump) the temperament or the ability to not be confused.”
Trump has a proven track record as president, Biden and Harris were and are an epic failure.
(Was this an example of Harris lifting Trump up? See point 23 above.)
31. “It is very well known that Donald Trump is weak and wrong on National Security and foreign policy.”
32. “It is well known that he admires dictators, wants to be a dictator on day one according to himself.”
33. “It is well known that he said of Putin ‘He could do whatever the hell he wants,’ and go into Ukraine.”
34. “It is well known that he said when Russia went into Ukraine it was ‘brilliant’.”
35. “It is well known that he exchanged love letters with Kim Jong Un.”
36. “And it is absolutely well known that these autocrats and dictators are rooting for you (Trump) to be president again because they are so clear they can manipulate you with flattery and favors.”
37. “And that is why so many military leaders you have worked with have told me you are a disgrace. That is why we understand we have to have a president who is not consistently weak and wrong on National Security including upholding and respecting in highest regard our military.”
Trump dismissed all of these charges by Harris by pointing out that she and Biden are the ones weak on national security by allowing 168 different countries to have illegal immigrants invade our borders as these countries emptied out their prisons and mental health asylums. He noted crimes are way up in the US now while going way down all over the rest of the world.
He noted Russian President Putin endorsed Kamala Harris last week. He added that the leaders of other countries think Biden and Harris are weak and incompetent. He concluded by asking Harris and the moderators why Biden killed the (American) Keystone Pipeline and then approved the (Russian) Nord Stream Pipeline?
38. “If Donald Trump were President, Putin would be sitting in Kiev right now.”
A questionable baseless claim without supporting evidence.
39. “As of today there is not one member of the United States Military who is in active duty in a combat zone in any warzone around the world for the first time in this century.”
Military members in Iraq, Syria, the Red Sea, Yemen and Afghanistan would agree, that is a lie.
Rep. Michael Waltz just took a blowtorch to Kamala Harris for her egregious lie in last nights debate. 🔥🔥🔥pic.twitter.com/akO7v2PPGU

40. “Donald Trump, when he was president, negotiated one of the weakest deals you can imagine, he calls himself a deal maker… Even his National Security advisor said it was a weak terrible deal and here is how it went down; he bypassed the Afghan government, he negotiated directly with a terrorist organization called the Taliban, the negotiation involved getting back 5,000 Taliban terrorists released, and get this, no get this, and the president at the time invited the Taliban to Camp David.”
Trump noted that the Afghan government had no power in the country but the Taliban did and American military personnel were getting killed by snipers. He sat the terrorist head, Abdul Ghani Baradar, down and showed him a picture of his house and the killings of Americans stopped the 18 months he remained in office thereafter.
41. “He (Trump) has attempted to use race to divide the American people.”
A baseless claim with supporting evidence to the contrary.
“Trump signs bill restoring funding for black colleges” – AP
42. “He was investigated because he refused to rent properties to black families.”
A case was brought against father and son Fred and Donald Trump in 1973 and was settled without any admission of wrong doing.
43. “This is the same individual who took out a full page ad in The New York Times calling for the execution of five young black and Latino boys who were innocent, the Central Park 5.”
It was a really bad idea for Harris to relive this story since she wants us to look forward and not back to be burdened by our past but since she went there… I guess it is fair for Trump to look at the innocent man Harris kept on California’s Death Row as a DA in SF by denying him DNA evidence to prove his innocence.
“Kamala Harris’ Record as a Prosecutor Comes Under Scrutiny: The Kevin Cooper Case” – Newsweek
44. “I have made very clear my position on fracking.”
Her position on fracking as of 2019 was to ban fracking nationwide and there are videos to prove it so her position is not clear after the interview of Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) on NBC’s “Meet the Press” where he implied she would say anything to get elected.
45. “And this business of taking everyone’s guns away. Tim Walz and I are both gun owners we are not taking anybody’s guns away.”
Again, her position on a mandatory gun buyback or confiscation program nationwide is well known and there are videos to prove it so her position is not clear after the interview of Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) on NBC’s “Meet the Press” where he implied she would say anything to get elected.
46. “We have created over 800,000 new manufacturing jobs while I have been vice president.”
Trump noted Biden and Harris have lost over 10,000 manufacturing jobs in August alone.
47. “Donald Trump said he was going to increase manufacturing jobs, he lost manufacturing jobs.”
In regards to the UAW president Shawn Fain endorsing Biden and Harris, Trump noted China is building massive automobile plants in Mexico right over the border. Trump has promised tariffs for these cars if he is elected president. The “bloodbath” comment Trump made was during a rally where Trump said there will be a bloodbath for the American auto industry if he is not re-elected.
CONCLUSION:
There were probably many more lies Harris told but listening to her is mind-numbing so I will apologize in advance for any missed.
And if you think this ABC presidential debate was not corrupt and compromised, I just learned that co-host and moderator Linsey Davis was a sorority sister to Kamala Harris in Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA) sorority at Harvard University!
Small world, or is it?
