“After 12 days that we spent with the caravan, the volcano erupted. The national guard tried to stop the caravan today, and they were extremely aggressive. One national guard officer has been critically hurt… The migrants are carrying him to safety because some migrants did not want a confrontation. But others, by the hundreds, wanted the confrontation with the national guard because they feel they were violating their rights to transit. Even they were throwing rocks at them.”
