Senate Foreign Relations Committee voted unanimously in favor of Sen. Marco Rubio’ to be next secretary of state, with a full Senate vote expected this evening.
Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee advanced Trump’s cabinet-level nominees, Noem for DHS secretary and Vought for OMB director.
Trump, who will be inaugurated as the 47th president at noon, is set to issue a slew of executive actions, including on the border, Jan. 6 pardons, and energy.
Trump has been inaugurated as 47th President of the United States, calling for a “revolution of common sense” as he begins a historic non-consecutive second term.
During his inauguration speech Trump said he believes that he survived rally assassination attempt in July 2024 as a sign by God to “Make America Great Again.”
