Pelosi said “of course” there’s a scenario where state-certified victory of Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks is overturned

At House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s weekly press conference on March 11, 2021 she said “there could be a scenario” where the state-certified victory of Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, R-Iowa, could be overturned and the win be given to Democrat Rita Hart, as the House Administration Committee reviews Miller-Meeks’ narrow 2020 election win.

Chad: “Thank you so much. So yesterday the House administration voted to continue itโ€™s inquiry into the Iowa second Congressional District. Could you see a scenario depending on what they found in their probe of unseating the current number and seating Rita Hard if it came to that?”

Nancy Pelosi: “Chad is always the hypothetical. Could you see a scenario? We donโ€™t do press conferences on can you see a scenario. And of course-“

Chad: “But that would be a pretty bold move if you do that.”

Nancy Pelosi: “Well, I respect the work of the committee. I did see, as you saw in the press, what they decided toโ€ฆ And they were following my, as I read it, the requirements of the law as to how you go forward. And how you go forward is the path youโ€™re on and weโ€™ll see where that takes us. But there could be a scenario to that extent. Yes.”
