Republican Electors Are Blocked From Michigan State Capitol

Officials said that the Michigan Statehouse and Senate office buildings would be closed Monday when the Electoral College met, because of security concerns. However, it was not expected that the Capital would be closed to GOP Electors who have a legal right to be there.

“The Electors are already here, they’ve been checked in.” Michigan State Police are blocking access to the Capitol, preventing the GOP Electors from getting inside.
