Slaying the Davos dragon

Most know the Super Bowl is a week away โ€“ a secular holiday if there ever was one. However, how many are aware that Iranian mercenaries killed three U.S. Soldiers in Jordan.ย More to the point, how many know we have troops in Jordan?ย What about the recently concluded World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland? The WEF has been meeting annually for 54 years, just four years less than the inaugural Super Bowl in 1967.

The WEF is a melting pot of economics and politics that is attended by an army of blue-blooded elites who arrive by private jets and chauffeured limousines. Despite their luxury, they never miss an opportunity to pontificate to us deplorables how we must use less energy and chow-down on insects to save the planet, while attempting to use any crisis to impose global rule in the great reset.

According to the WEF this yearโ€™s greatest threat facing humanity is not climate change but โ€œmisinformation.โ€ย So much for the nonstop haranguing about melting ice caps and rising seas.

How does one identify and understand โ€œmisinformation?โ€

When the cronies of the WEF tell you.

In another classic case of a medieval serfdom diatribe titled the WEFโ€™s Global Risks Report, โ€œSome governments and platformsโ€ฆmay fail to act to effectively curb falsified information and harmful content, making the definition of โ€˜truthโ€™ increasingly contentious across societies.โ€

Nothing like salvaging truth through suppression of speech and censorship.

Yet attendees canโ€™t grasp why the WEF is referred to as the โ€œWorld Enslavement Forum.โ€

The hubris of Davos is overflowing with those who were born on third base and believe they hit a triple. The five days of nonstop blathering received a much-needed respite when WEF Chairman Klaus Schwab, who forever is auditioning for the next Mr. Freeze in the Batman series, introduced the recently elected president of Argentina Javier Milei.

The presence of Milei and Kevin Roberts President of the Heritage Foundation were a twofold counter punch to the unceasing indoctrination. However, it was Mileiโ€™s address, that for a pivotal 23-minutes delivered in the belly of the beast was a direct carpet bombing of the WEF.

Mileiโ€™s speech was nothing short of Reaganesque: โ€œDo not be intimidated either by the political class or the parasites who live off the State. The State is the problem itself.โ€ย This consequential address was not from a career politician, but a classically trained economist who has a thorough understanding of free market capitalism, while having lived through the evils of socialism that has shackled Argentina for decades.

Milei denounced Marxism by one who has lived it, while wading through all the empirical data of his native Argentina to make a clear-cut case for free trade capitalism and limited government.

Somewhere von Mises, Hayek and Friedman are smiling.

The conditions and challenges to which he speaks are deeply entrenched. โ€œIt is important to understand that the authoritarian leftists have been using all manner of deflections and distractions to keep us off balance so that we donโ€™t realize what is truly going on.ย Thus, they keep on pushing the boundaries of the culture war, so we donโ€™t take notice of the ever-tightening grip of the administrative state.โ€

Hereโ€™s hoping Pope Francis another Argentine native listened and consumed Mileiโ€™s words but being a Jesuit itโ€™s doubtful.

For a head of state from south of the border to eloquently breakdown the gruesome reality of abortion, the disaster that is diversity, equity, inclusion, and population control must have had the WEF honchosโ€™ heads spinning.

Without exception, the speech should be nailed to the admission doors of every university.

American politicians used to lecture foreign dignitaries about free enterprise. Today, Milei schools them. As with Elon Musk this year, Milei shouldnโ€™t expect an invite back to Davos in 2025.

Milei is not just another case of crying in the wilderness but has taken the first steps in a return to sanity.ย Milei the statesman should be Time magazineโ€™s frontrunner for Person of the Year.

According to CBS, the Super Bowl pregame marathon will last seven hours. Every American should invest the 23 minutes and digest Mileiโ€™s distinguished speech.

If Milei can make it in Argentina, his ideas can make it anywhere.

Start spreading the news.
